How Many Pool Robots Fit in a 40HQ Container

Floor-only robots pack 3 to a carton, the Y50S 1. Why your box sets the 40HQ count, how to work out freight per unit, and what to check before you book.

Our floor-only robots pack three to a carton and the Y50S packs one. Plan your 40HQ from those carton counts and your final retail box, because a container figure quoted before the box is approved is a figure you'll have to correct.

The S100 solar skimmer also packs three to a carton, and the H100 handheld vacuum four.

The sum: cartons that fit × units per carton

Write the container as n = C × u. u is the units per carton: 3 for floor-only robots and the S100, 1 for the Y50S, 4 for the H100. C is the number of cartons that fit, and it depends on the carton's three dimensions against the container's inside, on how the cartons can be turned and stacked, and on pallets.

Freight per unit is then F ÷ n, where F is your forwarder's price for the container. At the same C, a 40HQ of floor-only robots carries three times the units of a 40HQ of Y50S robots, so each Y50S carries three times the freight.

C changes from one pool-robot model to the next as well, so the carton dimensions belong in the sum.

Why a headline figure misleads

A container total in a brochure assumes one retail box and one carton grade, with no pallets. Change any of them and the figure is out of date before you book. Build the plan the other way round: units per model divided by units per carton gives cartons, and the cartons against the 40HQ give the fit. The total comes last, from the packaging you approved.

What moves C before you book

The retail box comes first. A private-label box made bigger for shelf impact, a thicker manual pack or an extra accessory can push the export carton out by a few centimeters, and a few centimeters per carton add up across a 40HQ.

Pallets come second. They speed up unloading and take floor space and height in the 40HQ, so leave them out if your warehouse crew can unload loose cartons by hand.

The export carton grade comes third, and here we'd rather lose a little C than save it. Our packed Y50S robots were shaken for 1 hour, 20 minutes on each axis, then dropped to GB/T 2423.7 and IEC 60068-2-31. Afterwards the color boxes showed slight dents, and each robot still started, charged and cleaned. A thinner carton would load more units and give that margin away.

Can we mix models in one container?

Yes. A mixed load, say Y50S units with two floor-only models, is planned carton by carton, so the total depends on the mix. Send the quantity you want of each model; the loading plan shows whether it fits one container and what to add or remove to fill it.

Check weight as well as volume. Ask for each pool robot carton's gross weight along with its dimensions, and your forwarder can tell you which limit a mixed load reaches first.

FAQ

Do we have to fill a 40HQ to order?
No. A neutral-stock order can start at 100–300 units per model. Before you fix a smaller quantity, ask your forwarder how they book a part load of lithium-battery goods.

Each quote can come with a loading sheet per model: carton dimensions, units per carton and the number of cartons that fit a 40HQ in the packaging you've chosen.
