How to Choose a Robotic Pool Cleaner Manufacturer
Six things to check before you choose a pool robot supplier, from factory ownership and testing to certifications and order terms.

Choosing a pool robot supplier is a multi-year decision for any brand, importer or retailer. Here's what to check before you place a first order.
1. Make sure they build the product
Ask where assembly and water testing take place, and ask for a video call or a visit to the line. A manufacturer should be able to show you its own production floor, not just a showroom.
2. Look at the whole range, not one model
A supplier with floor-only, full-coverage, skimmer and handheld models lets you cover several price points with one partner and one set of paperwork.
3. Ask how every unit is tested
Water testing, final inspection and battery testing should happen on the line. Ask for the test steps and for battery shipping documents, such as UN38.3 test reports and MSDS.
4. Confirm certifications by model and market
Factory certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and amfori BSCI tell you how the factory is run. Product certificates are model-specific, so confirm them for each model and destination market.
5. Understand quantities and timing
For private label on an existing model, ask for the minimum order per model, sample timing and production lead time, and which options are included: logo, color, packaging and manual language.
6. Check engineering depth
Patents, an in-house engineering team and a product roadmap show whether a supplier can keep improving the product and support you after launch.
