Private Label Pool Robots: What You Can Change
Private label pool robots from 500 units: what you can change (logo, color, box, manual) and why a first order takes about 90 days but repeats 30–45.

When a buyer asks about private label, the first real question is how much of the robot they can make their own. On an existing model, four things change: your logo, a housing color from the colors that model is offered in, your retail box and a manual in your market's languages. Private-label programs start at 500–2,000 units, depending on the model.
We're the R&D and quality team, and we sit on the other end of the approvals that set your timeline. This is what each change involves on our side, and what you can prepare so a first program stays close to 90 days.
Can you put our logo on it?
Yes. Your logo goes on the robot housing and on the retail box. What we need from you is a vector file of the logo and any color rules your brand follows. The shape of the shell limits where a logo can sit and how big it can be, so you approve a proof showing the exact placement before anything is printed. While you're preparing the artwork, check what your market requires on the box. In many markets the name and address of the brand owner or importer has to appear on the product or its packaging, and it's easier to place it now than to reprint later.
Can we choose our own color?
You choose from the housing colors the model is already made in. On our H100 handheld vacuum, for example, that's blue, black and white. If you have a color in mind outside a model's range, ask before you plan around it, because that's a separate discussion from a standard private-label program.
Whichever color you pick, the sample you sign off becomes the reference for production. During cosmetic checks our inspectors match housings against the approved color sample, and on the same pass they check that part gaps and steps are under 0.3 mm. That's why we ask you to approve a physical sample. A color code in an email looks different on every screen and printer, and arguments about whether a blue is the right blue are much easier to settle with a sample on the table.
Can the manual be in our language?
Yes. Our Y50S manual already covers English, German, French, Italian and Spanish, so for those languages the work is mostly putting in your brand name and support contact. A language we don't have yet needs a translation, and we'd strongly suggest that a native speaker on your team reads it before you approve it. Pool robot manuals are full of terms that are easy to get wrong in translation, like filter basket, waterline mode or low-battery parking. A manual that confuses owners turns into support calls under your name.
What stays the same under private label?
The robot itself. Private label works on an existing, tested model, so the hardware inside and the shape of the shell stay as they are. That's what keeps the minimum at 500–2,000 units and the timing at about 90 days. If you need a different shape, a new feature or a different battery, that's a new design, which we handle as ODM. ODM takes from about 120 days and usually runs as an annual program of 5,000+ units.
If the model has app control, as the Y50S does, raise the app early in the conversation. Ask what your customers will see in the app under your brand before you finalize the box, since the two should tell the same story.
Why does the first order take 90 days?
Most of the gap between about 90 days for a first program and 30–45 days for a repeat order comes down to approvals. Before the first boxes can be printed, three things need your sign-off: the packaging artwork, the color sample and the translated manual. Any of them can go back and forth a few times, and we can't start a run on a box that hasn't been approved. On a repeat order they're already signed, so we go straight to production and the water test every unit gets before packing.
You can shorten that first round. Send the vector logo, your barcode details and the importer address with your brief. Pick the color from the available range at the sample stage, and have your manual reviewer lined up before the draft arrives. One warning for later orders: if you change the artwork, that approval starts again, so collect your changes and make them in one go.
FAQ
Is the MOQ the same for every model?
No. Private label runs from 500 to 2,000 units depending on the model, and we confirm the exact quantity and timing by model.
Do the lead times include shipping?
No. About 90 days for a first program and 30–45 days for a repeat run until the goods are ready to ship. Add your sea or air freight time on top.
Will other buyers see our branded version?
No. We show customization on our own products and documents. Customer projects stay confidential.
